The Utah Education Association (UEA) and its affiliates — Granite Education Association(GEA), Jordan Education Association (JEA), etc. — are extensions of the politicized National Education Association, and only represent the interests of the unions. They DO NOT exist to help students, only to further the radical political interests of the union.

Teachers who pay UEA dues do not actually receive the liability coverage they think they’re getting in return for their money. Liability policies are not taken out in a teacher’s name, only in the union’s name. What does this mean? It means that the union decides if it wants to exercise its liability coverage on behalf of a teacher – that teacher has no guarantee of liability coverage.

What can you do about this as a teacher? Check out the following organization, which for less than $20 a month provides you with a liability policy in your name.
